This Christmas, give a child the gift of a good night’s sleep
This year, the Zarach Christmas Appeal aims to give 500 children a bed in time for Christmas.
Each £180 raised will pay for one child, referred to us by their teacher, to receive a brand new bed and Christmas Bed Bundle, including a cosy duvet and pillow, bed sheets and covers, pyjamas, a hygiene kit, and a reading book plus festive chocolate treats and a £30 voucher towards their family’s food shopping!
This year we’ve been working hard to reach children in different areas of the country, aiming to support some of the 965,000* children who go to sleep each night, without a bed of their own. We have hubs in Liverpool, Huddersfield, Stockport, Calderdale, Dewsbury and Romford while continuing our work in Leeds and we now have more than 500 schools referring to us.
You can help us give a child a safe, warm place to sleep before Christmas by making a donation to our appeal. Your generosity will help a child in poverty crisis, giving them the opportunity to engage in their education, and a chance to break the cycle of poverty.
As we expand into new areas, your donation will support children throughout England. Whilst we’re proud to be able to serve more communities, we recognise that there is always more to do. Should donations exceed our expectations, your funds will be used to support our mission to End Child Bed Poverty in England in 2024.
